Tomorrow is the first day of the first-year honors admission test at Jahangirnagar University (JU) for the academic year 2021–2022. (July 31, 2022).
Deputy Registrar (Education) Abu Hasan, member secretary of the admission test conducting committee, is quoted by our JU correspondent as saying that a total of 2,84,606 applicants would take the entry tests this year for a total of 1,888 seats.
Each place will be competed for by about 151 students, he said.
He continued by saying that every effort had been made to perform the admission tests efficiently.
The university’s public relations department’s acting director, Mohammad Mohiuddin, revealed the admission exam schedule earlier on Thursday afternoon.
The notification states that the admission test for the Bangabandhu Institute of Comparative Literature and Culture and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities under the “Gha” Unit would be held on Sunday (July 31, 2022). 53,430 students in total, occupying 466 seats, take the exam in this unit.
The admission test for the Faculty of Sociology and Law’s “Kha” unit will be held the following day, August 1, 2022. There are 386 seats in this unit. 48,348 applicants signed up to take the exam.
On Tuesday, there will be an admissions test for the “Ka” unit’s Faculty of Mathematics and Physics and Institute of Information Technology (August 2, 2022). On the morning of August 3, the test for the remaining applicants to this unit (9 am to 10 am) will take place. The “Ka” unit has a total of 466 seats. The admission test will draw 76,379 applicants.
On Wednesday, there will be an admissions test for the Biology faculty under the “Gha” unit (August 3, 2022). The remaining students in this unit will be held in the first, second, and third phases the following day (August 4, 2022). There will be 87,728 applicants who take the test.
On August 4, 2022, the fourth phase of the admission test for the Faculty of Business Studies and Institute of Business Administration (IBA-JU) under the “Uma” unit will begin. There will be 250 places available in the test, with around 18,721 applicants.
